A Fantastic Trip to Washbrooks

At House on the Dials, we are dedicated to providing the children with new and exciting experiences both inside and outside of the setting. We're so lucky to be surrounded by fantastic countryside and so recently we we made the most of this and visited on of our fantastic local farms - Washbrooks Farm.

The children have been so excited for this trip and have been discussing what they might see at the farm.

Burgess Hill Girls school kindly provided us with their minibus, which came to collect the children and staff to take them to the farm.

When we arrived the children were so excited to meet all of the animals in the barn. They got to see ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, sheep, goats and pigs before going for a lovely walk around the fields to see the horses, cows and alpacas. They were especially excited to pat the beautiful donkeys!

The children were full of curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and sharing what they already knew about farm life.

After seeing the animals the children enjoyed a snack in the sunshine autumn sunshine before finishing the visit with plenty of fun in the play area!

This experience was fantastic, and the children had so much fun exploring the farm and the outdoor spaces.
